First Week at School!
Massive!!! So the first week at school was huge. I had between 4 - 12 students throughout the week, depending on the time and day. Most kids didn't rock up until around 10 o'clock, and others continued to stumble in throughout the day. A lot of the kids I had this week were kids that will be going to boarding school, so there won't be as many as this next week goes on, when they fly out to go to boarding school. The kids are really cool, they love to draw and are amzing artists. Most of them also love to dance. We put on a RnB CD on the first afternoon and some of the kids got up and were dancing around. It was funny as but they definately have the moves. Every 5 minutes I have a request for a game outside, they love dodgeball! All of them are so talented, extremely quick and strong. They aren't scared to go in hard, both the boys and the girls.
My PE day on Thursday was crazy! I had an awesome morning session with the older primary kids, who are very similar to my secondary kids. As the day went on and the year levels got younger, my job got tougher. The little kids were going crazy! The Year 1's and Preps didn't understand half the things I was trying to get them to do and would run around going nuts! It was chaos! But eventually we all got through the day and had heaps of fun.
So the first week ended up being a very long week, getting everything organised and trying to sort out was was going on. Hopefully as the weeks go by and with a little more preparation and planning things will start getting easier...
